What We Do

The Forum is the first and only industry association to offer a “Location Business Lab” where industry players can collaborate on location issues and provide tools and resources that guide decision makers on the design and implementation of location-based solutions.  The Location Business Lab also helps build awareness of critical issues, resolves problems, removes barriers to uptake and forges consensus.

We focus on the advantages location can deliver in 3 key business areas:

• Driving Operational Efficiency
• New Product & Service Development
• Enhancing Marketing & Customer Relationships

Surrounding these is a series of issues related to how and where location data is obtained, managed, used and protected.

 

We’re passionate about location.   In particular, we believe businesses as a whole are missing a huge “trick” by not leveraging location data, applications and services in how they run their operations,  engage their customers and analyze their results.  We concentrate our efforts in places where a lack of information, inadequate guidance or questionable practices is limiting widespread enterprise use of location and location intelligence.
